This is Big Prop which, briefly, consists of a dynohub bicycle dynamo on top of an upturned castor wheel (the sort of thing you find on the bottom of chairs) with the blades made out of plastic guttering half-pipe found lying around the nearby woods. Unfortunately, the design isn't quite 'there' yet but - as they say - we're working on it! :-)

This is Little Prop which is a far more effective design than Big Prop, for the time being. I'm actually quite favouring this design using the computer fan as the generator. In the current set-up a small solar array is also used to make this a rather neat hybrid design. It charges four AA batteries well enough to then charge a PDA! Definitely favouring this as a solution to the kind of issues being faced in countries like Kenya. Big Prop would be more useful for charging a 12V battery to run a pump to get water from the river to Duncan's farm, for example (as Mary talks about below)...more to come.
